Dr.Somaraju Suseela is a lady of very dynamic, dashing as well as very
Jovial. Being an Industrialist she has faced so many problems to
establish herself as Industrialist. Apart from her business she has so

Que. Mrs. Suseela let us know your childhood
Ans. I was
born in 28th April 1945 in West Godavari Dist., Sidhantham village.
Que.
Sidhantham village? Is this still existing in West Godavari?
Ans: Yes
there is bridge
on this name.
Que: Oh! Who
is your father? Mother? and what is your education background?
Ans: My
father Sri Venkateswara Rao, my mother Smt Sarojini. We are 4 sisters
and one brother. My brother is youngest, I am the elder one. I have
studied upto Degree in Rajahmundry and Vijayawada. M.Sc at Jodhpur. I
did my Ph.D at National Chemical Lab, at Pune from 1966 and I worked
there as Scientist up to 1974. After my marriage with Mr. Ranga Rao, who
worked along with me in National Chemical Lab, at Pune. In the year 1974
we both resigned to that job and came to Hyderabad. We established
Bhagyanagar Laboratories. We have one daughter, one son. both are well
settled.
Que: On what
basis the Bhagyanagar Lab established? Is it manufacturing or supplying
based.
Ans: We
manufacture Micro Nutriants which saves the crop from the bacteria and
deficiency of Euria etc. Also we manufacture and supply the Thermisters
which is useful to study the weather conditions. We develop these
productions and supply. I am only the woman who is doing such type of
production in India.
Que: Why did
you choosed this profession when there are chances to settle as
Scientist.?
Ans: Just
like that. I wanted to do some challenging job hence, I have choosed
this.
Que: Do you
feel sorry for choosing this profession in anytime ? Did you faced any
problems in this?
Ans: I never
felt sorry even I faced many problems in this professtion. Any industry
to come up we need Government's full co-operation. But we never got such
co- operation, either from Government or from Banks. Government always
invites the youth to establish industries . When no Bank and Government
will not come forward to give loans and encouragement how anybody can
establish a industry? Only aim is not sufficient we need resources to do
something also we need experience. Establishing Industries only can not
solve the unemployment problem. Unemployees are highly educated
labourer, an unemployee can not have courage to establish any industry
unless the Banks and Government will give assurance that they encourage
and co-operate by giving financial assistance. I did not find any change
in the attitude of the Banks and Government in encouraging the
industries. The phenomina is still as it is. We have to depend upon our
own efforts that's all. Que: Madam you are also known as writer.
When did you started your career as writer?
Ans: I have
started my career in the year of 1998 . I wrote a series of short
stories under titled CHINNA PARISRAMALU PEDDA KATHALU it was published
in Andhra Jyothi weekly. In the year 2000 I wrote ILLERAMMA KATHALU.
Both the themes I got out of my experience as Industrialist and my
personal life only. I have translated a Marathi Ramayana in Telugu under
the title PADADARSINI SRI RAMA KATHA. The Marathi Ramayana wrote by
Smt.Laxmi Bai Kelkar.
Que: What is
the inspiration you got for writing.
Ans:
Whatever the problems I faced as Industrialist the same inspired me to
write the stories. (She laughed). Na kashtale naku sphoorthi.
Que: Do you
have any other activities like Lioness and so on?
Ans: At
present I am District President to Lioness Club and I am the President
to Social Cause Organisation, and Rashtra Sevika Samithi a voluntary
organisation. I will be conducting Seminars and Workshops about the
present status of society through Social Cause Organisation and some
other social acitivies through Lioness.
Que: How do
you justify to your family having so many activities and
responsibilities as Industrialist, as writer ?
Ans: Only
the thing I know how to manage the time. No body has dis satisfied with
my activities so far.
Que: Do you
give any message to youth who look forward to have their own industry?
Ans: Yes.
Anybody can choose any profession at their own choice. But everybody
should believe their own efforts but not to believe any false Notices,
false Advertisements. Government is trying to convince the youth in a
wrong notion. So I suggest the younger Generation to do anything with
Self Confidence dont depend on anybody.

But it is a bit
dangerous to set foot into the business field all of a sudden. Of course

after facing some pressures and failures. As a matter of fact all those
who start business enterprises do not commence their business
propositions with the only aim of making money and profits (it does not
mean making money is not an objective). They embark on business
enterprises with the aim of leading a free life and mould their business
towards the path of progress.

or that during you attempts?
1.
Try to
know about yourself.
You should
be clear about the reasons which prompt you to start your own business.
It will certainly be a mistake if you want to start a business or an
institution being dissatisfied with the job you have on hand. If you
need not worry about the financial aspects. But, if your estimates
boomerang and do not attract anyone, the job you had on hand earlier
will be a better proposition thousand times.
2.
Evaluate yourself honestly:
Are you confident that
you will achieve success in the method you follow? Do you possess the
skill and specialization to attract the customers? Can you overcome the
pressures as well as the responsibilities? If unfortunately you fail in
your business enterprise and find yourself neck-deep in debts, are you
prepared to sell your properties as the master of an enterprise? You
will have to assess all such possibilities honestly.

you
have to create favorable atmosphere
In case
you establish an institution or start a business venture, do not get
into trouble by depending merely on estimates and figures. Create a
favorable atmosphere in the beginning itself by thinking and planning in
a systematic manner. First of all ask yourself why you want to be an
entrepreneur. Is it because you are sure that your labour will be
fruitful? Or is it for enjoying freedom? Is it to realize your dreams?
Or do you wish to be original and imaginative? Create for yourself a
congenial atmosphere to analyze such ideas as these.
4.
Entertain forethought.
If
things go wrong and become topsy turvy, do you conclude that it is the
end? If ‘No’ is your answer, take it that those who are close to you in
your life and connected with you are the important persons to depend
upon. Entertain the thought that in business enterprises, faults and
failures are normal. Try again and strive to achieve success. You will
reap good results. Face competition boldly you must be prepared for
defeats in the future when you move towards growth and improvement.
5. You have
to Choose Plan
It is important to
formulate a plan before starting a business enterprise. The plan helps
you to run your business successfully to receive loans from banks to
attract customers. It is your plan that defines the objective of your
venture, your future and your financial soundness.

The
work people
What are the
qualifications of those who are going to work in your concern? What is
their experience? Are your thoughts on business, your preparedness and
the future opportunities helpful to you? Be prepared to face the
difficulties along with you? Think of this aspect also. The work force
that marches along with you will influence the success of your business
activities.
7.
You
must have some Leadership qualities.
An entrepreneur should
possess leadership qualities and influence his co-workers, the
supporters, the customers, dealers and others with his personality and
the qualities of his mind and heart. If you do not show interest in your
work it will produce an adverse effect on others. You yourself should be
responsible for the welfare of your institution and goals you have set
for it. If anyone else desires to be of help to you, such persons should
have a clear idea of the aims of objectives of your firm.

Over
coming Problems
If the people or your
customers get thinkling that you are in difficulties., naturally their
respect for your concern will dwindle. It results in showing the pace of
transactions. So you have to over come these difficulties with
imagination. Appear to be confident and courage in the face of
difficulties and problems. If the people around you guess that you are
in difficulties, the very foundations of your empire may be shaken.

Never let go or lose
those aspects which help in promoting your business. Labour and strive
hard seeking fortune. You will have to do a lot to improve your
business. But the labour that subjects the members of your family and
your well wishers to difficulties will produce negative results.

peace and joy for you. It also helps in the growth of your business.
Never take up anything that makes you lose the support of your family.
