Power of 5 Rupees

“Little drops of water make the mighty River”

If you save one drop of rain water it will quench the thirsty person. Few drops of those will become one spoon of water. 30 spoons of them will become one glass. 100 glasses like that will become one jar. 100 jars will become one bucket. 1000 buckets of that type will become one tank. If the rain continues, it will create a river. Like how a river gives life to green fields start of 5 rupees donation from one person, 10 persons, 100 persons, 1000 persons, from lots of persons, it will create a river of nourishment to needy people. We appeal to you, to join with iwoman who wants to create the river of nourishment for the needy people of our country. Please send your share to run this river to flow to the help of the needy.

Venue : HCHW, Hyderabad.

Members who visited : Y. Sulochana Rani., Dr.  Hemalatha  Devi,  Dr.  Vishnupriya  C. Sujatha.

Though the members of iwoman organization have been involved individually in social work activities, we were excited to be in a group and interact with underprivileged children living and spend some time with them. Our iwoman. Team went led by Dr. Hemalatha Devi and Dr. Vishnu Priya.

After reaching the  HCHW Shelter Home Branch office   we interact with the caretaker, read the case studies,  gathered information about various regular and at time activities of inmates.

Later, we went to the boys aging between 5+ to 15+ years, seated in a hall. Each one of us talked to these boys, volunteers are  also there.  Our Team  tried to understand the reasons of the boys who left their homes in very tender age. The following  things we discussed with them.

  1. Why  and how they left their homes.
  2. how they were rehabilitated
  3. Personal interests, goals in life
  4. Their present schooling & occupational status.

We also  told our personal & professional backgrounds in brief, with them.

We distributed the bed sheets to those who did not have. The fruits, bananas were distributed in a playful way to introduce them to a  team-spirit and leadership qualities. through relay game, the boys were asked to pick up the fruit. Later their feelings, learning’s were elicited from them and were cheered up for their participation. Some boys are showed us  their  excellent mimicry  talent.

The beauty of the whole visit was the realization of the pressure of the joy, happiness , that is inherent in every human being that which tapped, instigated would flew out. We forgot the time. Though we planned to spend an hour there we spent 2 and half hours in a joyful atmosphere. This remained an unforgettable experience for us, bender being an event of iwoman.in.
